About Us

Established in 2007, Mercury Global Partners is a multi discipline international boutique marketing and PR firm with offices in San Francisco, Amsterdam and London. We offer strategic guidance combined with tactical execution to companies who seek a blend of traditional and highly creative ways to reach their target audiences. The company is uniquely geared to provide a holistic range of 360-degree marketing and PR services in both the online and offline worlds.

 

We specialize in working with B2B and B2C companies of all sizes within the TMT (tech, media and telecom) sectors with a primary focus on mobile, cloud, enterprise, media, and connected consumer companies. We help startups take flight, and we help later stage tech companies deliver successful exits – from merger or acquisition to IPO.

 

Our management team has more than 50 years of marketing, PR and social media expertise working with B2B and B2C companies in North America and Europe. We support our clients by working with an international team of experts – designers, developers, videographers and partners – based on each client’s unique needs.

 

We work directly with every client. Our clients are never passed off to junior staff who lack the experience to handle the details or don’t possess strong media relationships. The team

  • Mindy M. Hull

    CEO | Managing Director | Founder – US and Europe

    Mindy takes a very hands-on approach in the day-to-day execution of all client work, and is responsible for the overall direction of the company including management, operations, marketing, PR and business development. She is a former VP of marketing and business development, and brings over 15 years of senior-level B2B and B2C experience in strategic marketing, PR, business development, product development and operations to both established and startup companies within the TMT (tech, media, telecom) sector. Throughout her career, she has refined an expertise in developing and executing innovative strategies that repeatedly generate revenue while promoting goodwill and understanding between companies, their partners, their investors and their publics. She consistently wins media coverage for clients in some of the most respected tier-one publications in the world.

    Prior to founding Mercury Global Partners, Mindy spent time in senior-level roles at the Financial Times, E.W. Scripps Co. and Inman News Group. She serves as a mentor for the European startup incubator, Rockstart, and is frequently called to speak at key tech and mobile industry events.

    Mindy has a proclivity for international travel, gourmet cooking, sunshine, concerts in small venues, weekend trips in Northern California, and a warm spot in her heart for The Netherlands.

  • Amanda Taggart Hughes

    Managing Director - Silicon Valley

    Amanda is responsible for building innovative media campaigns that build credibility, drive thought-leadership and increase product demand. She specializes in creating genre-pushing strategies that are rooted in effective messaging with both start-ups and established companies.

    Amanda is an integrated communications thought-leader with nearly fifteen years of experience building global interactive entertainment and consumer technology brands. Having worked both at an agency and in-house, Amanda specializes in bringing niche technology stories to the masses. Prior to joining Mercury Global Partners, Amanda held senior in-house PR positions at the world’s largest interactive entertainment company, Electronic Arts, and also consulted with various early-stage technology start-ups such as Mind Pirate, FitStar, TapZen, Motiga, Nix Hydra and ustyme. Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in English from University of California, Los Angeles.

    A California native, Amanda is a lover of all things food, wine and sunshine.

  • Natalee Gibson

    Managing Director

    Natalee is a member of MGP’s senior team, and is responsible for creating overall strategy and ensuring that all PR campaigns map to both the short and long term goals of each individual client. She brings a wide breadth of global PR experience, representing both Fortune 100 companies and small startups at every stage of the business lifecycle. Natalee began her career in journalism, and brings a unique reporter perspective to her PR approach. With over 15 years of PR experience, Natalee has cultivated strong relationships with members of the media, important industry conferences and influential market analysts. Prior to joining Mercury Global Partners, Natalee served as Vice President of San Francisco-based PR firm, Incendio International, where she represented large companies such as Flextronics International, Sun Microsystems, Sanmina-SCI, as well as young start ups including SoftKinetic, Taulia and FollowAnalytics. She holds a bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Brigham Young University.

    Based in Denver, Natalee is an avid cyclist and sometimes triathlete who loves to travel the world with her husband and two kids.

  • Ginny Cain

    Managing Director - Silicon Valley

    Ginny is responsible for day-to-day client management, strategic marketing plans and PR, and is a former VP of marketing for several top 10 nationally ranked real estate brokerages. Prior to joining Mercury Global Partners, Ginny founded and ran her own marketing consultancy firm, Cain Communications, where she worked with a variety of clients in the technology, real estate and mortgage industries.

    She previously served as VP of marketing at Alain Pinel Realtors, the ninth largest residential brokerage firm in the US, where she managed a multi-million annual marketing budget that included print and online advertising, collateral support materials, digital print shop, emerging technology initiatives, corporate events and public relations. Prior to that, Ginny was VP of marketing for Prudential California, Texas and Nevada Realty where she managed all aspects of marketing for the company’s 140 offices and over 4,000 sales associates in three states. An early adapter of technology, Ginny also spent four years with Mortgage.com as their VP of marketing during a transition from conventional brick-and-mortar operations as First Mortgage Network to the online mega-keyword, mortgage.com. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Cameron University in Oklahoma.

    Ginny is an incessant Francophile and a weekend gourmet.

  • Colleen Wickwire

    VP, Accounts – Silicon Valley

    Colleen is a communications professional with 13+ years’​ experience (including broadcast TV, in-house and agency PR) working with an extensive range of enterprise, consumer technology and lifestyle companies. She is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communication strategies for clients, and her specialities include campaign and product launch planning, messaging and content creation, building productive media relationships, integrating traditional and social media strategies, providing executive-level counsel and event planning. Colleen is accomplished at building productive relationships with both traditional media and key vertical influencers through an integrated approach to PR and social media. She has worked with an extensive range of enterprise and consumer-facing companies throughout her career including Meebo, Mobclix (acquired by Velti),Yodlee, Google, Inbenta, Sony Online Entertainment, Favado App (Savings.com), FabKids (acquired by JustFab), Tindog, Social Gaming Network (SGN), Bunchball, JustAnswer, Coupon Craze and SmartyPig.

    Colleen has an insatiable appetite for discovering new music and local restaurants, and on sunny days you can almost certainly find her at the beach.

  • Lizi Jeffery

    Account Director - San Francisco

    Technology brands are what makes Lizi tick! Lizi has eight years of B2B and B2C PR experience working on campaigns across UK, Europe and America for diverse clients including Yahoo!, Sony, Bang & Olufsen, Pearson, Whiptail, Cloudtags and TaskRabbit. She loves getting to grips with the issues that matter to businesses and translating them into stories that can be appreciated by a wider audience.

    Prior to joining MGP, Lizi spent significant time working with brands in the highly competitive marketing and advertising sectors including entrepreneurial start ups and global networks such as WPP, Publicis, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Chime, Mojiva & Mocean Mobile, as well as independent agencies such as Havas Media Group, M&C Saatchi (including LIDA & M&C Saatchi Mobile), Razorfish and Fetch.

    A born leader, Lizi manages the day-to-day running of multiple MGP accounts to ensure KPIs are met and that strategy is being implemented across all pillars – media relations, analyst relations, content marketing and social media. She’s a proactive problem solver, and a conscientious self-starter who is highly focused and adept at leading multi-market client programs and achieving results – even in the most demanding and challenging circumstances.

    Lizi enjoys wine, food, travel, loves a good meme – and is recently engaged to a lovely gent named Andy.

  • Christina Vrachnos

    Senior Marketing & Communications Consultant - Silicon Valley

    Christina focuses on devising media strategies grounded in creative and effective messaging, and supported by traditional and new media tools to maximize impact and minimize cost.

    She has over ten years of experience in marketing and strategic communications. Previously, Christina held senior-level roles at the Financial Times and Kaplan, Inc., followed by several years managing global media campaigns at the United Nations. She has also consulted for several companies, including Technorati Media, PBS, and Four Seasons Hotels, Inc. A speaker of five languages, she graduated from Georgetown and holds a Masters degree in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins University.

    After living and working in New York City for fifteen years, Christina is ecstatic to have swapped the concrete jungle of Manhattan for the sunshine and farmers’ markets of San Francisco.

  • Jennifer Johnston

    Account Manager

    Jenn plays a valuable role in the day-to-day account management of MGP clients. A gifted technical writer, she is skilled at helping clients move their PR strategies forward through original content creation that includes press releases, op-ed, blogs, case studies and more.

    Jenn’s carefully crafted pitches repeatedly land tier-one media coverage for MGP’s clients, as well as face-to-face press meetings at key tech conferences. She also has a strong track record of securing tier one analyst briefings across multiple sectors including mobile, fintech, adtech and enterprise tech.

    Prior to her role as Account Manager, Jenn spent more than two years leading social media strategy for MGP and its clients, where she executed many successful social media campaigns across multiple channels – including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

    Prior to joining MGP, Jenn worked for 15 years in the medical transcription industry, and as an account manager at the Rocky Mountain News, where she acted as a key point person to help drive advertising sales and as a customer care consultant.

    Jenn enjoys family time with her husband and two sons, and has a deep love of the mountains and animals – including her Huskita, Bailey. She has a passion for science fiction and fantasy books, and is currently working on her first novel.

  • Carla Richardson

    Account Executive - London

    Carla is responsible for supporting the account teams across the entire client base, where she helps build media lists, drafts blog content, researches events and awards, executes social media, and much more.

    Prior to joining MGP, Carla worked for a broadcast PR agency based in London, where she focused on generating creative ideas for broadcast strategies to raise awareness for brands across TV, radio and online media. She also spent three years working in the wine industry for a wine supplier specialized in organic and biodynamic wines, where she earned a qualification in winemaking.

    Carla lives in Surrey, South of London. She enjoys food, wine, and travel, will say hello to every dog she encounters, and has a particular fondness for the Autumn season.

  • Kenza Smit

    Account Assistant - Europe

    Based in Amsterdam, Kenza is responsible for supporting the MGP account teams across the entire client base. Her primary responsibilities include competitive research and list building.

    An avid polyglot, Kenza is fluent in Dutch and English, proficient in French, German, Latin and Classic Greek, and currently studying Spanish.

    Kenza recently completed a solo three-month trip around the world where she spent time in Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, San Francisco, New York City and Iceland. One of the biggest lessons she learned from her trip boils down to two quotes: “It always seems impossible until it’s done” and “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”

    An exceptional student, Kenza will enter university in The Netherlands in August 2017 where she plans to pursue a degree related to Artificial Intelligence.

  • Sarah McGahran

    Social Media Manager

    Sarah is responsible for developing social media strategy and execution across the MGP client base. Her focus is on establishing close alignment with clients to build social media strategies that enhance client messaging while remaining true to vision and increasing customer engagement and interaction.

    Sarah creates and coordinates cohesive social media campaigns across multiple platforms (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube), and is skilled at helping clients move their social media strategies forward through original content creation, content curation, influencer engagement and other media assets.

    Prior to joining MGP, Sarah spent time as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Aspire Ventures, a private equity firm focused on disruptive B2B2C technologies in the IoT sector, founded and ran her own company as an aspiring entrepreneur, and worked in the nonprofit sector. Sarah’s background in entrepreneurship, venture capital (focused heavily on IoT and AI), and nonprofits has given her a great breadth of experience in managing effective and engaging social media marketing campaigns across numerous platforms.

    As enjoyable as social media marketing can be, Sarah takes great care in ensuring social specific KPIs are met so that clients can clearly identify their social media ROI.

    Sarah recently relocated to Charleston, South Carolina where she enjoys spending time outside: running, hiking, and playing with her dog. She is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and student, loves entertaining, wining, dining, and enjoying time with friends.
